Saving your application

By NoahHawthorne · Comments (2)

I have received a few emails from people concerned about a notification that says “Your form has been submitted” when they save their application to continue later. Your application has not been submitted, just the “save for later” form information which has been sent in and is being saved. Once you have clicked “Ok” you will receive an email to the email address specified in your application, with a link to continue where you left off. Unfortunately this submission notification is a notification that is built into our application software that can’t be overridden. If you don’t receive the email or can’t access your application let me know and I can try and re-send your access details.

Our brand new 2009-2010 online grant application has now been completed and is being integrated into our website. It should become available within the next few hours, with notifications to public health schools being sent out at the same time. Thanks for all the patience…going digital for the application process has been difficult, but we hope it will be easier for everyone in the long run.

The NEWAID Foundation is proud to announce travel grants as an addition to our traditional masters research grants. Travel grants are awards up to $750 that students can use to fund travel to projects relating to neglected infectious diseases in the developing world. By adding this award type we hope to be able to provide support to more students who need just a little bit of help to get started on their projects.

On our new application (ready to go live this afternoon), applicants will be able to apply for a travel grant directly, or may check a box specifying that they wish to be considered for a travel grant if they are not selected for the larger research award. If the latter option is checked, students will be contacted before being awarded the travel grant to make sure that they will still be able to conduct their research with the funding available.
